Our Syrah grapes were hand-picked from a single vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, fermented and manually plunged then basket pressed and aged in one year old oak barrels for 12 months. The bottled wine has been cellared for four years prior to release. This Syrah 1654 clone displayed deep red colour and now turning into garnet due to ageing. Flavours are blueberries with hints of spices, vanilla and dark chocolate, medium to full bodied.
