This wine was produced with grapes from a single vineyard and a single road of vines, located near the lake of Alexandrina, Langhorne Creek, a region that delivers superb Australian Malbec.
Following fermentation, it was manually plunged, then basked pressed before being aging in oak barrels for 20 months. It displays an intense purple colour with violet floral aromas and flavours of ripe mulberries and chocolate combine with savoury notes and subtle spices of black pepper.
It has a great structure in the palate from medium to full bodied. It finishes dry with very silky tannins and a lengthy fruit aftertaste. This Argentinian Gaucho, a strong spirited Nomad, shares my Argentinian heritage, and my hometown of Mendoza's passion for Malbec.
