A mid-cherry hue with some copper light of age, as it’s aged in used oak for a year, and that also gives texture.
Lots of poppy red fruits, cherries, plums and strawberry compote with a dash of spice.
It’s a little earthy, too. There’s a slip of tannins, adding to the palate weight, while fine acidity keeps everything buoyant.
This is terrific - as in delicios - yet plenty of substance and detail.
